Reach and Impact
Through our Search country teams we partner with women-led and women-serving organizations who are operating at pivotal moments—whether the closure of political space, the fresh start of negotiations, or a chance to step into leadership roles. Across Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Somalia, Uzbekistan, and Yemen, in-country Search teams partner with highly localized women-led organizations unable to access donor funds through classic granting mechanisms. Coupling bespoke training modules on technical and thematic topics with small grant schemes, SHE WINS country programming elevates a new wave of women-led organizations to break through the usual funding barriers and increase the impact of the Women, Peace and Security agenda in their countries.

Cameroon
“I used the knowledge that I gained to sensitize women during my sermons in the mosque and during the special Koranic school sessions. I was challenged to combat GBV and ensure the respect of women’s rights.” – Imam of the Limbe Municipality
“Through the SHE WINS Project, I have sensitized many Mbororo Fulani women and girls on the importance of participating in decision-making at the community, regional and national levels in line with UNSCR 1325. These women and girls have been very responsive and desire to participate in the upcoming 2025 Elections in Cameroon.” – Participant from the marginalized Mbororo community in Cameroon

Uzbekistan
“After the training, I gained strength, energy and motivation to continue my work and not to run away from an emotionally difficult profession, and we got the feeling that someone also cares about us.” – Participant, Psychosocial Support Training for “frontline” WLO staff members

Lebanon
“I gained insights into fundraising strategies, proposal writing techniques, and essential components of a proposal.” – Participant from Baalbek-Hermel, Capacity Building Sessions
“The training materials proved invaluable, particularly in guiding the writing of project activities and proposals, as well as in developing a sustainability plan for initiative operations. The trainers were exceptional, offering professional support that dispelled apprehensions, fostering confidence and satisfaction in a highly positive environment.” – Participant from Beqaa, Capacity Building Sessions

Democratic Republic of Congo
“Today it’s more than just a simple capacity strengthening. I feel healed and delivered from the many emotional situations I’ve been dealing with for a long time. My heart is now ready and open for dialogue, forgiveness and active listening.” – Local Partner Staff Member (AFEM – Association des Femmes de Médias), Workshop Design & Capacity Building Sessions
