The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is the second-most populous country in Sub-Saharan Africa, with about 90 million inhabitants, and one of the poorest in the region, with a per capita income of 470$ . It suffered intense droughts and famines, as well as prolonged conflicts throughout the 20th century. Since 2011, we have been providing technical assistance to Ethiopia-based partners focused on the country’s Amhara region, using a range of interactive tools such as radio, participatory theatre, comic books and mobile cinema to promote inclusive dialogue.

Ethiopia-DSC_0128-4 The Team Ethiopia - The Team Ethiopia – known locally as Tena Budin – tackled issues of ethnicity, religion, and class. It served as a launching point for Ethiopian youth to discuss issues of diversity and interpersonal conflict. It was radio broadcast nationwide from July 2009 through July 2010.
