In Sri Lanka, where roughly half of the population is under the age of 29, young people are often caught in bitter ethnic and religious divides. Seen as perpetrators of violence, or else helpless victims, over 4.6 million youth face major obstacles as they seek peace.

At Search for Common Ground, we train young people as peacebuilders, capable of identifying and solving community problems. In 2021, many Sri Lankans joined to celebrate International Youth Day.
