After the explosion in Beirut in August 2020, thousands of ordinary people took action to help others. People generously opened their homes to strangers, helped to clean the streets of destruction, and fed the hungry. These tragic events showed that we have great reserves of compassion and strength, and that we’re always there for each other when it counts.
The economic crisis, COVID-19, and the explosion have tested our limits, but we’ve pulled together and supported each other, time and time again. Heroic individuals and organizations have taken action to help those who need it most.
We don’t believe that any act of heroism, however small, should go unsung. We’re inviting you to share the acts of humanity and compassion that have inspired you during this crisis.
