After the explosion in Beirut in August 2020, thousands of ordinary people took action to help others. People generously opened their homes to strangers, helped to clean the streets of destruction, and fed the hungry. These tragic events showed that we have great reserves of compassion and strength, and that we’re always there for each other when it counts.

The economic crisis, COVID-19, and the explosion have tested our limits, but we’ve pulled together and supported each other, time and time again. Heroic individuals and organizations have taken action to help those who need it most.

We don’t believe that any act of heroism, however small, should go unsung. We’re inviting you to share the acts of humanity and compassion that have inspired you during this crisis.

Share #OneAct of kindness and altruism that you’ve seen or experienced, or let us know what you and those around you are doing to help others. We want to recognize and thank the many ordinary, extraordinary people of this country—the everyday heroes who are helping Lebanon through the greatest of shocks. We’ll also share vital information about the many incredible initiatives and resources that are out there for those in need.

In difficult situations, we can help each other get through challenges. From crisis comes action. It’s time to thank all of the ordinary people that are helping Lebanon get back on its feet again.
