Our regional program A new life, a new hope aims at facilitating the reintegration of prisoners in three countries of the Sahel and Maghreb regions – Morocco, Mali and Niger. This initiative, funded by the International Bureau of Narcotic Drugs and Law Enforcement of the United States Department of State, has two main components. The first is an extensive study of the penitentiary system in Mali as well as in Niger and Morocco. The second is a reintegration program built around the findings of the research, which will take place during the second stage of implementation of the project.
