Launched in Sept. 2018, Peace by Piece was a 27-month project that aimed to build a locally-rooted understanding of the conflict drivers and opportunities for peace to support community-driven and lasting peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan. Using a two-phased approach, the project grounded all activities  in the real needs of target communities and increased buy-in by piloting approaches that responded to those needs.
