The Charter of Compassion is a cooperative effort to restore not only compassionate thinking but, more importantly, compassionate action to the center of religious, moral and political life. The Charter for Compassion espouses a principle that is embraced by every faith, and by every moral code. It is often referred to as The Golden Rule. It requires that we use empathy and our moral imagination to put ourselves in others' shoes. We should act toward them as we would want them to act toward us.
