Job 1: Representative, Policy and Programmes
The position of Representative, Policy and Programmes, is located at the Brussels European Office of Search for Common Ground. The Representative reports to the Vice President, International Development, and supports him in his overall fundraising and programme development activities, particularly with business intelligence and analysis, proposal development, regional expansion as well as general administration and coordination. While reporting to the VP, the Representative works also closely with other members of Senior Management, of the Development team, as well as Program and Country Directors.
The Representative, Policy and Programmes, covers activities such as fundraising, advocacy and liaison, administrative/management tasks, back-stopping for country programmes, building and maintaining relationships with bilateral and multinational institutional donors (Belgian government, EU, etc.), foundations, corporations, individuals and other stakeholders.

Job 2: Country Director - Sudan
Project Working in the Great Lakes since 1995, and in West Africa from 1997, SFCG has the intention to to begin work in Sudan to support innovative peace building in Sudan and to build on successes in the Great Lakes and in West Africa. As in other African countries, SFCG-Sudan will work with local partners to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies' capacity to deal with conflicts constructively. Using innovative tools and working at different levels of society, SFCG engages in a pragmatic, long-term process of conflict transformation. SFCG's toolbox includes media production - radio, TV, film and print - mediation and facilitation, training, community organising, sports, music and participatory theatre. SFCG's approach focuses on opening space for dialogue and action between parties in conflict to engage them in cooperative problem-solving processes. To operationalize this approach, SFCG integrates media and community-based activities and provides opportunities to turn conceptual knowledge into practical skills.We promote both individual and institutional change, and are committed to measuring the results of our work and increasing our effectiveness through monitoring and facilitated learning.
Summary of Position The Country Director will take responsibility for the start up of the programme and overall management and direction of SFCG-Sudan, including the launch of new projects, the development of strategy, and the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the program. This position reports to the Africa Director, collaborating closely with the Institutional Learning Team, the Africa Support Team, and SFCG thematic programming such as Common Ground Productions (CGP), as well as liaising with other programs in Africa. This position is based in Juba.

The Administrative Assistant serves as the main SFCG Receptionist; helps to ensure that the DC office runs smoothly and effectively; helps to manage the office equipment, including telephone and door security systems; and assists the Manager of Administrative Operations in liaising with the building owner. The position holder reports to the Manager of Administrative Operations.

Job 5: Operations Coordinator
SFCG's Operations Department manages information technology (IT) and administrative services for the organization; develops, implements and maintains various management and information systems; and supports the Senior Management and Board of Directors as well as multiple programs and departments. As such, every member of the Operations Team takes a customer-service approach to his/her work and serves as a resource to all staff members on administrative and operations issues. The Operations Coordinator develops and maintains various management and information systems for the organization. In addition, the Operations Coordinator assists with the planning and implementation of SFCG's annual Common Ground Awards Ceremony. Overall, the right candidate for this role is someone who pays excellent attention to detail, is proactive, has superior organizational and time management skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks while complying with multiple deadlines. The candidate should also be skilled in coordinating the efforts of staff from all of SFCG's programs in contributing written content toward common documents and systems. The position holder reports to the Director of Operations.
