Our Work

Our goal is to create a culture in Timor Leste in which the Timorese people from across political, ethnic and social spectra will move beyond fragmentation to resolve differences in a non-adversarial and cooperative manner. Search For Common Ground (SFCG) Timor-Leste also aims to build a democratic state in which individuals and groups are able to work together more effectively.

SFCG began working in Timor Leste in 2010, with a USAID funded project entitled Youth Radio for Peacebuilding which sought to improve the economic prospects of youth through skills building, media and outreach activities, and enhanced mechanisms for collaboration. Also, SFCG Timor-Leste is currently implementing projects focused on women empowerment and youth engagement.
