Internships
DME interns at SFCG contribute a great deal to our projects while gaining valuable work experience for their longer-term career goals. In the past, many of our interns have been graduate students who have joined SFCG as a way to complement their academic interests in conflict resolution, peace studies, international affairs, international development, psychology, and other fields. Positions are advertised quarterly. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and who are fluent in written French or Portuguese. Evaluators
SFCG often hires external consultants to perform its program evaluations.
Desirable Qualifications:

Technical expertise in leading evaluations of peacebuilding and conflict resolution programs (at least 7 years experience)

Experience in and language skills of countries SFCG operates in
-
Evaluation methods and data collection skills in conflict context
-
Strong facilitation skills
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Experience in leading evaluations in one or more of the following areas:
-
Peacebuilding media (inc. knowledge, attitude and behavior change),
-
Good governance and participatory democracy (inc. Elections)
-
Dialogue and reconciliation
-
Children and youth
-
Proficiency in English, French or Portuguese is desirable.
