Washington Network on Children & Armed Conflict (WNCAC)
About WNCAC
This interdisciplinary and open community forum of
practitioners and scholars, facilitated by Search for
Common Ground and USAID’s Displaced Children and
Orphan’s Fund (DCOF), provides a space for those
interested in the complex issues surrounding children in
armed conflict to exchange information and engage in
lively dialogue.
WNCAC List Serve
The WNCAC list serve distributes relevant and timely
information to over 700 practitioners and academicians.
Organizations and universities on the list include UNICEF,
USAID, Academy of Educational Development, Mercy Corps,
U.S. Institute of Peace, World Vision, World Bank, Catholic
Relief Fund, INEE, American University, Yale University,
Columbia University, Stanford University, Harvard
University, and more. If you are interested in subscribing

WNCAC Bimonthly Meetings
To help develop dialogue around relevant and timely topics
since 2005 the WNCAC has been hosted bimonthly
meetings inviting speakers from the field to facilitate
dialogue among network members. WNCAC meetings are
generally held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Search for
Common Ground headquarters located in Washington, D.C.
Topics covered in previous meetings include positive
alternatives to youth radicalization in the Middle East,
Youth Unemployment in Crisis-Affected Areas, Child
soldiers and small arms, and uses of sport in armed
