| Summary | SFCG on Race is seeking an intern to support the work of existing and future projects within the program. SFCG on Race, or “The One America Project”, is an initiative designed to inspire racial healing and reconciliation throughout the USA. The long term goal of SFCG on Race is to heal racism in the United States at the interpersonal, cultural, and institutional levels. We will do this by taking a common ground approach to heal the impact of racism in our society. This will include providing training to leaders, organizing gatherings, catalyzing constructive dialogues, highlighting existing efforts, and developing creative, new programming. The person selected for this internship will gain exposure to stakeholders in the work of racial reconciliation in the USA, including political, community, religious, and youth leaders. The intern will primarily focus on the Congressional Conversations on Race (CCR) project. CCR assists members of Congress in having conversations with their constituents that will promote racial healing in their districts. Important intern responsibilities include revising and maintaining the CCR web site, researching district information, and contributing to the monitoring and evaluation activities. In addition some regional travel may be required to meet with stakeholders or attend events. The intern may also be involved in the development of new projects within SFCG on Race. This internship is part time, with a minimum of 20 hours per week expected. |

| Minimum Qualifications |
In addition, the ideal candidate will be an undergraduate senior or graduate student, majoring in conflict analysis and/or resolution, ethnic studies, American studies, US history, sociology, cultural anthropology or related field. |
