Ruling Party Rejects Parallel Discussion Of Press Bill

Luanda, 01/12 - An Angolan ruling MPLA party official Thursday in Luanda rejected any parallel discussions of the new Press Bill as suggested by a foreign Non-Governmental Organization, as the National Assembly is already working on it.

MPLA`s director of the Department of Information And Propaganda, Rui Falcao, expressed this viewpoint to Angop in reaction to an announced round table for Friday, on the "Guarantees of the Press Bill", promoted by the NGO "Search For Common Ground in Angola" (SFCG).

He argued that the mentioned text is still undergoing a legislative treatment, towards its approval by a plenary session, which dispenses with the need for a parallel debate.
